So to start, wasn´t General Conference amazing. It was a spiritual boost that I needed. I´m starting to learn that even though we are very familiar with these topics in the church and here in the mission we are constantly studying them and teaching them, there is always something new to be learned. And usually the things I learn, and the improvements I realize I need to make, are not from the words they say. Usually it´s not even what they are talking about. BUT when we are in environments where the spirit is present, we are ALWAYS spiritually edified. And this applies to all the meetings in the church. But to answer some your questions, Yes, I watched all of conference is Spanish, and Yes I understood it all. I loved listening to the two native Spanish Speakers, because 1) they are adorable and 2) I love hearing the power in their messages. The translators aren´t near as good. Also, another one of my favorite parts of this conference was just hearing the testimonies of these men. They have so much knowledge of the restored gospel, and God´s plan for us, and their testimonies always strengthen mine.
But good things are happening in Santa Cruz, I´m not sure, but I think this might be my final week here ( I would love Heavenly Father to prove me wrong in this!).
We found the cutest family from Bolivia that we are now teaching. They are so great and we had probably the most powerful lesson I´ve had on my mission with them. They are amazing.
Me and Hna Costagliola made it a goal to contact more on public transportation (the inbetween moments that we don´t always think about) and boy! We made some really good contacts, and taught some good lessons that way. It´s always kinda of scary at first, because if they say no, you are stuck, and it´s awkward, but it always has worked out in our favor. The Lord blesses us for being bold!
Which leads me to another thing I´m learning. What is bold today will not be bold tomorrow. As I stretch and do things that are uncomfortable, they always become normal. Everyday I try to look for an uncomfortable opportunity, so I can prove to Heavenly Father that I´m ready and willing to make myself grow as a missionary. This applies to life as well.
Oh and this coming week my Investigator S :) Is getting baptized. She is the cutest lady from Ecuador. I feel like she´s teaching us more than we teach her!! She´s great. Pray that it goes through :)
Love you mi familia :)
