Qué tal todo?
It has been good hearing from you all this week! Minus ozz- i'm
convinced he's forgotten me ;) my week has been really great. Just
another week hastening the Lords kingdom here in Alcobendas.
So first some sad news.. We had to move the baptism date of our two
investigators, because the mom is recovering from a surgery, and then
going out of town..the new date is next transfer and I will be
surprised if I will still be here..but at least she still has the
desire and the hope! And if it goes my way, I'll just have another
transfer here!! ;)
But this week we found a few solid new investigators, so I'm really
happy. One is from the Dominican Republic and it was a really cool
experience finding him. We were in a hurry because my companion needed
to pass by the bathroom, but I saw him alone on a bench. I tried
talking myself out of going to talk to him, because my companion
needed to go the bathroom and the majority of street contacts we just
get rejected. But in the moment I was trying to talk myself out of I
remembered some council of dad. When I was younger one time I didn't
want to participate in family prayer, and he told me that whenever we
don't want to do something is when we need to do it. I don't know why
his advice came into to my mind, but I followed it and went back and
talked to this man. He was very receptive, we taught him the lesson of
the restoration right there, and he accepted the invitation to pray
and read about the Book of Mormon, and we have another lesson this
week. This experience was a good reminder to me to always follow
promptings from the spirit, and also how the spirit works for us.
Years ago when dad told me that, I never thought his advice would of
helped me bring someone the truth of the restoration. I'm so grateful
for the spirit in this work, and for the great parents my Heavenly
Father blessed me with!
Os quiero a todos y que tengan una buena semana!
