Well the biggest news is that I was transfered! I´m now serving in Alcobendas (North of Madrid). This area has one of the strongest and most supportive wards of missionary work in our mission so that is cool. It is also the same area where the mission home is, so my district is with the APs and Office elders, which means it´s way solid. I´m excited. My companion is Hermana Pavez, She is from Argentina, but her family lives in the south of Spain. My Spanish is about to get a whole lot better this transfer, because that´s all we speak! I´m really excited to be here though, and cannot wait to see what the Lord has in-store for me. It´s interesting, because Alcobendas was supposed to be my first area before President sent me to the Islands last minute! I know without a doubt it´s where I´m supposed to be!
My Last week in Santa Cruz was great. There were super stressful moments, but we had one of the best weeks I´ve had in my mission.
My investigator was baptized, and her whole family (all non-members) came to the baptism and the confirmation on Sunday during church. It was beautiful. She is golden and is such a strong member. We also started teaching her son and her boyfriend who are also both so so great.
We set a date for the family we found from Bolivia for baptism at the end of this month, and they brought another family from Bolivia with them to church this past Sunday. They are so great and loving. I´m sad to leave them.
My weekend was filled with lots of goodbyes and tears. Probably one of the only things I don´t like about the mission is the goodbyes, but like I said before the change is good, and I´m excited to see what the Lord has in-store for me here!
Well family, I´m running on 2 hours of sleep, because I had a really early flight, but I love you all and I´m excited to share more about my area with you guys next week!
Love, Hermana Kallie Staker
