Well the adventures continue in barrio 2! Holy cow. Where to begin..
Tuesday we were eating with our Columbian friends (not members) again,
and we had rabbit.. again.. And for some reason they thought the last
time I loved eating the head.. Well I got stuck eating rabbit brains
again. But also it was really cool. They had invited a few friends and
we decided to take advantage of the opportunity and teach one of the
best restoration lessons I've taught so far on my mission. We also now
have a few more friends to teach.
Wednesday my wallet was stolen in the metro and I lost literally
everything! But it's all good.. We are getting it figured out. Also we
are trying to figure out all our lice issues... But bueno. Little by
little.
Thursday we had to go to the police about my wallet.. That's about all
that happened that was interesting. I'm also not speaking a word in
English until the end of my mission so that's been going well.
Friday we did exchanges with some Hermanas in our zone. It went great!
Most our lessons failed us, but we went crazy in the streets and
received a lot of referrals. It went by quick.
Saturday was Halloween! And my Peruvian soul sister ( you will meet
her someday, she's moving to the states for school) made us Peruvian
food. My favorite, and we had a little party during medio dia. Also,
Halloween surprise. We have a spider infested bathroom.. Every time I
shower I have to kill like 15 spiders. Gross.
Sunday we adopted a cat. ( not really, she's just a stray that lives
by us and we always feed her. Her name is galletita ) also we found
this family from Cuba in the streets and taught them lesson one! I'm
really excited, they seem to have lots of potential.
Well, one thing me and my companion have thought a lot about this week, is
really being disciples of Jesus Christ in every moment. Our loyalty in
the mission, and in life is to the lord. We are talking at the end of
everyday to see if our actions and decisions are following his will,
and really this has made such a difference in the work. We are a lot
more conscience of opportunities to serve and take advantage of this
short time we have to serve the lord.
Os quiero y que tengáis una buena semana!
