Hola familia!
This week went really well. We finally found some new people to teach. I think are pool of investigators has expanded a lot this past transfer. It's hard exercising the faith to sometimes drop the investigators that aren't progressing to find the people who are ready for the gospel. But one thing I'm learning is we always follow god's will above our own we are guaranteed to revive the blessings he has in store for us.
We had a family home evening last night with a group of missionaries, and people we are trying to strengthen. We were having a lesson on the iron rod and we got into some good conversations about the things that we need to do to hold on to it. It's interesting because some of us are born in the gospel or close to rod, and others are born far away and need to find it. But all of us regardless of how we found the rod have to walk the camino holding on to it. We all have to go through this journey of life and discern what is of God and bring us to the tree of life. And one comment that one of the elders said really stuck with me, he said (more or less) that Heavenly Father know us so perfectly that he knows exactly what we need to do and the trials we need to become like him, and if with every decision we make and every trial we face we react as he would, we can overcome the adversary and be more as he is. This really impacted me, and I have found so much truth of this on my mission. I know when I quiet the natural man and do the will of my Heavenly Father-even if it seems more difficult at first- I'm always happier.
Another thing that I'm trying to improve upon is not only just working hard but working smart. I'm really trying to build member confidence and seek the help from members to find more people who are prepared for the gospel. I think it's really easy to go and talk to everyone in the streets when you have a free moment, but it's harder to take the time to really follow the spirit and to plan and work with the members. So that's my new goal.
Thanks for all you do for me and all the support you offer me. I love you all!
