Well Wednesday we went to the temple and it was awesome as always. We
are so lucky to have the opportunity to go every transfer.
Thursday we had a choir practice with some other missionaries because
this week Elder Christiansen and Elder Dykes are coming to give us a
devotional. But my companion and I arrived a bit early to do a few
things and we were standing outside the temple and there were a couple
teenage boys who looked like they were up to no good. So I was
watching them just making sure they didn't do anything dumb, and they
entered the temple and I waited outside watching them until they left,
and I was just judging them so hardcore let me tell ya.. But the lady
in the temple waved at me telling me I had to go contact them. So I
basically chased them down. Well it turns out that they had seen a bunch of pictures of the temple, and came to see what it was. Well they both have used the internet to learn about the gospel and even better, they live in our area! So we are excited to teach them more. Heavenly Father always
just finds ways to teach me and humble me. I think the lesson of not
judging who can be ready for the gospel is one of the things he's
nailed me with the most in the mission. You just never know who the
Lord has been preparing.
Another fun story. So I have been constantly passing for this lady
from Ecuador named Neiy. She is great but a little unmotivated. Well
this was the 3rd time this week she failed meeting us and I was
feeling a little bit sad (but we met with her later, and she came to
church! , so I was like well I need to find something to give
me encouragement. So I decided that i needed to do a cartwheel in the
middle of the street. So my companion kept guard to make sure nobody
was watching and I did the most beautiful cartwheel that has ever been
seen, but I ripped my skirt. Shoot. So me and my comp had another
appointment and you could see my garments, so we were like what are we
going to do!! Well I said a little prayer in my heart and my companion
was like Hermana look! And there was a safety pin on the ground! Ahh
thank goodness for blessings.
Later the Chico we are teaching who has a baptism date came to church!
He really didn't want too, and it took a lot of persistence on our
part, but he came and the members were so welcoming to him, he seemed
to really love it.
Oh and Sunday night, oh my goodness gracious let me tell you about
Sunday night, well after being chased down by a crazy lady we were
walking to go pass this family, and there was some Spanish man
looking at me, so I decided to go talk to him, and I was trying to
convince him to to give us his number, but he was not to excited about
that, but he said "look, I'll call you" and I was like well fine, but
I don't believe you. People never call us when they say they will, so
we continued walking and started talking to this other man and we
received 2 calls, but rejected them, then the same Spanish man calls
us down and walks past us ( a little frustrated because we ignored his
calls) so my companion finishes contacting the guy and I run to then
Spanish Chico on the other side of the street (we were still insist
and sound, no worries) and I start teaching him. When my companion
came back, we had an hour and half lesson with him teaching him
literally everything! He is golden! He was so receptive. So that was
an awesome way to end the week!
Well family, I love you so much! Que tengáis una buena semana.
