Well this week was great! Probably the best week we've had in B2 as
far as numbers go . We really have so many people with a lot of
potential that we are teaching and who are progressing.
So Dario was baptized Monday (like you know) and after all was said
and done it was really worth all the stress and was a beautiful
service. He is so amazing, and I'm so proud of him. He is already
helping the elders in lessons and is looking for so many ways serve
others all the time. We had stake conference this Sunday so he still
hasn't had his confirmation. But they are going to do it this Sunday,
and he has already invited his parents, and sister.
Later in the week we met with our friend Hugo from Peru, he is great
as well. His wife and daughter are members, but they still live in
Peru. He really wants to strengthen his relationship with them through
learning about the gospel, and has really started developing a
testimony of what we are teaching him. Well, we talked about the word
of wisdom, and set some goals. We ended up talking again about a
baptism date, but he is so stubborn in not picking an exact date. He
told me he is going to get baptized in these next 2 months and it's
a surprise.. I guess that's the best we will get with him for now! But
I'm really excited, because he is progressing a lot.
Also our Chico wilder! He's the one whose parents are members, but he's
not baptized because he hates coming to church. So on Monday we had a
really powerful family night with his family, and we made plans with
him to come with us to stake conference Saturday night. Well we get
there to pick him up, and he forgot, but I made him come anyway! He
was so grumpy on our trip there (it's like an hour away), and we even
bought him a doughnut.. Bueno but little by little he starting
becoming in a better mood. By the time we got there we got him so
loosed up it was great. He sat through the conference without looking
on his phone once (accomplishment). Afterwards we walked around the
temple and talked about what we learned and then we testified to him
about eternal families and how that is our main goal. And the spirit
was so strong.
The next miracle is that my convert in Alcobendas William, now lives
in our area and I was able to contact him and meet with him. It was
so great seeing him again, he hasn't been coming to church, so I was a
little frustrated at him, but he opened up to me and told me that
after I left he was really sad when I left because he felt like he
had to start over. He also lost his job and then things didn't work
out with his girlfriend in Columbia, and he didn't understand why all
of this was happening when he was trying to do what's right. But he
has the desires to come back to church and meet with me and Hermana
Ross so it's been a tender mercy. Actually Hermana Ross found William
the week before I came to Alcobendas, because she served there too so
he already knows her as well.
Also it's so cool being here one year later with Hermana Ross! She's
really great, and we have both changed so much in this yea for the
better, and it's cool to see our progression. We started not knowing
anything about missionary work or Spanish, and now we are together
never speaking in English and leaders in our mission. I really have a
testimony of how Heavenly Father just shapes you into who he wants you
to become if you rely on him. There is this thing missionaries do
called 6 months 'til sexy and everyone try's to lose weight before
they go home, but me and Hermana Ross are doing 4 months to
consecration. We have made some goals to really do our best to
dedicate everyday here to the Lord. I'm excited to be here in b2 with
Hermana Ross, and for the blessing I have everyday to be one of the
Lords missionaries.
Love you all!
