OW, so first. Oz looks way to grown up in those dance pictures. It´s crazy seeing my wittle brotha with a girl!! But they both looked nice and it seemed fun :)
So this week was fun and went by SO fast, and I don´t know how because we basically had nothing..
But some fun things, Hermana and President Jackson came Wednesday to our district meeting, and it´s always great spending time with them. They´re the cutest, and they have the cutest relationship too. I love them. Also next week we have a mission tour with Elder Dykes of the 70 and our zone (all the missionaries on the islands) are meeting in Gran Caneria. So it will be way fun getting to see a little bit of another Island! Everyone who isn´t serving on Gran Caneria also gets to spend the night in the mission home there so I´m super excited!
This week I gave a talk in Sacrament meeting, and from what I know everyone understood my Spanish! So YAY for improvement! Spanish is getting easier and easier every week so I´m excited. It was actually really funny, this week we met a girl from England and I tried explaing the restoration to her in English, and I couldn´t do it.. I kept forgetting the vocabulary and would accidently speak in Spanish. So here´s to not being proficent in English or Spanish right now!
So the reason we didn´t have a ton of lessons this week is Carnival. Like I said last week, It´s the second biggest in the world and it definitely lives up to that! For this entire week people are dressed up in costumes and party all night every night. When we come out in the mornings all we see is the vomit from the night before. (bet they wished they knew the word of wisdom!) But Carnival is super cute as well, the city is decked out for it, and there are a bunch of good food vendors and concerts. The main thing that I don´t like about it is, literally 85% of the men dress up as women and sometimes you would like of them :P but it´s worst for the Elders so I feel for them more..
So since nobody wants to stop and talk to us in the streets this week, we´ve set goals of how many people we´ll recieve numbers from and when we meet them we treat ourselves to gelato, because sometimes the work is hard and you just gotta eat ice-cream :)
Oh another cool thing! Well not that cool.. but the bishop asked me to teach piano to some of the youth in the ward! I guess all those years of piano paid off for something.. But I´m actually way excited! It should be fun!
Most of all, the best part of my week was being apart of this work. The mission really teaches you how things really are and how things really will be, and I´m so grateful for the oppertunity I have to share what I know with my brothers and sisters that don´t have the knowlege I do. Even if they don´t all accept it now, I know one day they will.
Love you all and thanks for the emails.
